Sherrod Library goes swipey

January 14, 2008

Students sending print jobs to printers in Sherrod Library can choose to print in color or in black & white. Students should assign a name to their print job via a pop up window and then students will log in to a first-floor print release station just like they log in to the lab PC to see their print jobs. Students then swipe their ID card (the broad stripe) to release their print jobs. Payment for print jobs come from CSPrint accounts ($25 in TAF funds per semester) just like it does now.

Late Night Study

January 14, 2008

Late Night Study, located in the Charles C. Sherrod Library, should be open for student use on Friday, January 18, 2008.

  • Thirteen Moons by Charles Frazier:It is a novel about the North Carolina mountain Cherokee before and immediately after the Removal. Frazier won the National Book Award for Cold Mountain, but a better book.
  • Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. It’s a movie! It’s an Oprah pick! And we loved One Hundred Years of Solitude!
  • Abundance, A Novel of Marie Antoinette by Sena Jeter Naslund.
  • The Road by Cormac McCarthy.
