Titles considered for Spring book discussion
November 8, 2007
- Thirteen Moons by Charles Frazier:It is a novel about the North Carolina mountain Cherokee before and immediately after the Removal. Frazier won the National Book Award for Cold Mountain, but a better book.
- Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. It’s a movie! It’s an Oprah pick! And we loved One Hundred Years of Solitude!
- Abundance, A Novel of Marie Antoinette by Sena Jeter Naslund.
- The Road by Cormac McCarthy.
